Baseball: Banning rallies to defeat San Pedro, 4-3, in Marine League opener

Banning (5-5, 1-0) rallied for a 4-3 win over San Pedro on Monday in a Marine League opener.
Anthony Valadez had two hits, including a game-tying RBI single in the seventh. The Pilots won it on a bases loaded single by Javier Perez in the eighth inning.
Narbonne defeated Washington, 21-1. Isaiah Flowers and Daniel Rocha each hit home runs.
In the Valley Mission League, Sylmar defeated Van Nuys, 3-1. Jake Arevalo struck out six and allowed four hits. Angel Hernandez had two hits. San Fernando defeated Canoga Park, 33-1. Kennedy defeated Reseda, 15-1.
In the Western League, Hamilton defeated Westchester, 10-4. Dalton Blumenfeld had two doubles. Palisades defeated Fairfax, 15-0.
Valencia defeated Santa Fe, 4-2. A.J. Medina drove in two runs and sophomore Chase Farrett picked up his first varsity win.
