Baseball: Local players advance to compete for spot on USA 18U roster

A group of Southern California players are still alive and are among 28 players selected to compete for a final roster spot on the USA 18U national baseball team.
They will advance to the second round of team trials Aug. 16-19 in Los Angeles.
They include Kevin Gowdy of Santa Barbara, Reggie Lawson of Victor Valley, Jacob Amaya of South HIlls, Hans Crouse of Dana Hills, Hunter Greene of Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, Hagen Danner of Huntington Beach, Nick Pratto of Huntington Beach and Blake Rutherford of Chaminade.
