Baseball: San Clemente’s Kolby Allard receives MVP honors

Three strikeouts in his only inning of work while throwing in the 90s mph helped pitcher Kolby Allard of San Clemente earn MVP honors at Sunday’s Perfect Game All-American Classic in San Diego.
The West team, coached by JSerra’s Brett Kay, won, 7-0.
Aliso Niguel’s Kyle Molnar threw a scoreless inning, and Mission Viejo’s Patrick Sandoval retired his two batters.
