Baseball: USA 15U team plays Cuba for gold medal

Sophomore Hunter Greene from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame is expected to be on the mound when the USA 15U baseball team plays Cuba for the gold medal on Sunday at 6 p.m. in the 15U World Cup in Mexico.
Greene might pitch only an inning or two, because he already has two wins in the tournament.
USA is 9-0 after pulling out a walk-off, 10-9, victory over Mexico on Saturday night in the 10th inning.
Royce Lewis of JSerra had two hits and three RBIs. Brice Turang of Corona Santiago has been the team’s hitting standout. John Dearth from South Hills should be pitching Sunday, too.
