Basketball: All-CIF teams

Stephen Thompson Jr. of Bishop Montgomery has been named the Southern Section Open Division player of the year on the All-CIF team.

Bennie Boatwright of Village Christian was named 1AA player of the year.

In girls’ basketball, Valerie Higgins of Chaminade and Katie Lou Samuelson of Mater Dei were named co-players of the year in the Open Division.
