Boys’ basketball: Allan Ellis is hired as head coach at Burroughs

Allan Ellis, a Crespi graduate who has been an assistant basketball coach, has been hired as the head coach at Burbank Burroughs.
Ellis, 32, has served as an assistant at Westlake, Chaminade and Royal.
He was the JV coach at Westlake the last two seasons.
