Boys’ basketball: Beverly Hills pulls out 57-56 win over Lawndale

It was the battle of the big men on Monday night at Beverly Hills, where 6-foot-11 Chance Comanche of Beverly Hills went up against 6-10 Chimezie Metu of Lawndale in a game for first place in the Ocean League.
Comanche finished with 26 points and 17 rebounds and a key blocked shot in helping Beverly Hills defeat Lawndale, 57-56.
Comanche is headed to Arizona. Metu, who had a great first half, is headed to USC.
Beverly Hills is 15-5 and 4-0.
