Lindsey Drew, the senior point guard from Fairfax High who was the City Section player of the year, has committed to Nevada, Coach Harvey Kitani said Wednesday.
Drew made his final decision Tuesday night. He was previously committed to Arizona State and had planned to attend IMG Academy in Florida before enrolling at Arizona State but a coaching change at ASU changed everything.
He opened up his recruitment, and new Coach Eric Musselman of Nevada won the battle. Musselman has NBA ties, and Drew’s father, Larry Sr., is an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Drew has grown to nearly 6 feet 4, and his best days are ahead.
