Boys’ basketball: Open Division in City Section is not a done deal

Despite receiving approval from the City Section’s Board of Managers last week, concern has been raised about the approval of an Open Division for boys’ and girls’ basketball.
Commissioner John Aguirre has set a meeting for next week with representatives of the coaches’ association to discuss whether enough ballots had been received from boys’ and girls’ coaches polling them on whether they supported the idea of an Open Division.
It remains to be seen if the Board of Managers’ decision will be reversed.
