The Huntington Beach Edison football team had a free day on Sunday in Maui after winning its season opener on Saturday night against Baldwin, 49-10.
Coach Dave White said the players did “tons” of snorkeling, surfing and riding jet skis. There was even zip lining activities.
“Kids had a great time,” he said Monday morning while preparing to fly home in the afternoon.
Receiver Jake Favreau is expected to have a great season for Edison. The senior caught passes for 146 yards and three touchdowns.
No word on his surfing exploits.
