Agoura High will be looking for a new football coach after the resignation on Thursday of head coach Charlie Wegher, Superintendent Dan Stepenosky confirmed.
Wegher has been Agoura’s head coach since 1994.
He’s a former Westlake quarterback who ran his program with class and by the rules.
“I’ve been going full throttle for 22 years,” Wegher said Friday morning. “It’s time to step aside and let someone else take over.”
Wegher will continue as a teacher at Agoura.
