Football: For the first time in three years, St. John Bosco has opening at QB
- Share via
For the first time in three years, St. John Bosco won’t have Josh Rosen as its quarterback. Let the competition begin to find his replacement.
The four leading candidates are varsity backup Quentin Davis, JV starter Julian Boyd, a freshman, another JV player Dylan Lemle and Re-al Mitchell, the freshman QB.
St. John Bosco is not going to participate in a whole lot of passing competitions. The players will have to win the job through their individual workouts, leadership, weight room participation and what they do in the classroom.
Davis was seven for 10 in his backup role. Boyd was MVP for an unbeaten JV team. Mitchell was the leader of a very good freshman team.
When you see white steam coming from Coach Jason Negro’s hat, you’ll know the new QB has been selected.
Correction: An earlier version of this blog failed to mention Julian Boyd, who was on the JV team.
