Football: New Alemany Coach James Washington calls upon his UCLA ties

First-year Alemany football Coach James Washington, a former UCLA standout, has hired a number of former UCLA players to his coaching staff.

Former Granada Hills Kennedy Coach Dion Lambert and former Oaks Christian assistant Mike Sherrard will be the defensive and offensive coordinators, respectively. Both played for the Bruins.

Reggie Carter, another ex-UCLA player, will coach linebackers. Former UCLA lineman Brigham Harwell will coach the defensive line. Jason French is the quarterback coach, Anthony Sargent receiver coach and Gil’Scott Jackson will coach running backs
