Girls’ track: Agoura’s Tara Davis wins gold medal at World Youth Championships

Junior Tara Davis from Agoura High School won the gold medal in the girls’ long jump on Sunday at the IAAF World Youth Championshps in Colombia
She went 21 feet, 1/2 inch. That’s the best long jump by a California prep girls’ athlete in more than 20 years, according to Rich Gonzalez of PrepCaltrack.com.
Lauren Rain Williams of Oaks Christian finished second in the 200 with a time of 22.90.
