Already the toast of the West Coast after winning state championships in the 200 and 400, Michael Norman of Vista Murrieta traveled to New York to compete in Saturday’s Adidas Dream 100. And now he’s an East Coast star.
Norman hadn’t run a 100 meters competitively in more than a year, but he was more than up for the task, running 10.36 seconds to win the race.
“Having not run a 100 in a year and a half, I was curious how fast I could run,” he said.
Norman, who still has his senior year to come, keeps picking up more and more fans.
Here’s the link to video of an Norman interview session afterward.
