It took a little while, but Adam Scott has finally settled on a replacement for his retired caddie, Steve Williams.
The No. 3-ranked golfer spent the last few months auditioning various candidates before settling on Zimbabwe native Mike Kerr.
“I’m delighted that Mike has accepted my offer and I am confident that he will be valuable member of my team for 2015,” Scott said in a statement released on pgatour.com.
Scott had Kerr on his bag at the Australian Open and the Australian PGA Championship, where he finished fifth and tied for second, respectively. Kerr previously caddied for Ernie Els, Lee Westwood, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Thorbjorn Olesen.
Williams ranked among the top caddies in golf after a string of major championships with Tiger Woods and further success with Scott.
