Seattle Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch is being investigated over allegations of assault and personal property damage, according to Seattle area authorities.
The incident allegedly occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the reporting party’s apartment, according to Bellevue police.
The unidentified woman told police that Lynch, 28, was responsible for assault and personal property damage, police said.
Although police said the nature of the assault was not domestic nor sexual, no further details on the accusation were released.
No arrests have been made, and the case has been turned over to detectives, police said.
Lynch recently renegotiated his contract with the team after requesting more money following the Super Bowl championship year.
The Seahawks did not practice Monday but will practice again Tuesday in the final workout of training camp, according to the Seattle Times.
