Rory McIlroy starts well at Deutsche Bank Championship

With two majors and a No. 1 world ranking in his pocket, Rory McIlroy can lay claim to a very successful season.
But there is one thing missing -- a FedEx Cup title.
After a lackluster performance last week, McIlroy has slipped to No. 2 in golf’s playoff standings and is looking to bounce back at the Deutsche Bank Championship, which began Friday.
“I feel like this season deserves a good finish,” McIlroy said before the tournament. “And that’s what I’m trying to do.”
McIlroy got off to a good start at TPC Boston on Friday morning, standing at 2-under through his first 11 holes. That put him two strokes behind leader Keegan Bradley.
Jordan Spieth, Jimmy Walker and Luke Donald were at 3-under.
McIlroy said: “Apart from the money and everything else that goes along with it, I feel like I’ve played a lot of good golf this season and I should be right there until the end.”
