Update: This matinee features two of the best all-around players in the Pac-12, if not the nation. UCLA’s Kyle Anderson, a 6-foot-9 guard, averages 15.4 points, 8.7 rebounds and 6.8 assists. He is shooting 52% on three-pointers. Utah’s Delon Wright, a 6-5 guard, is averaging 16.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists, and has 66 steals. He is shooting 59% from the field. “He can do a lot of things, he has athleticism and the ability to drive ball the ball,” UCLA Coach Steve Alford said. “He doesn’t come out. He plays 40 minutes.” The Bruins have suffered first-half lapses the last two games and rallied in the second half to win. They took an in-game sabbatical in Salt Lake City last month, and it cost them. The Utes led by as many 17 points and held on for a 73-69 victory. UCLA wants to avoid a split at home after splitting on its previous two trips. “That’s not in the plan,” Alford said.
