Cody Kessler, Su’a Cravens on Walter Camp Award watchlist

USC quarterback Cody Kessler and linebacker Su’a Cravens were named to the watchlist for the Walter Camp national player of the year award.
Five USC players have won the Walter Camp Award.
Tailback O.J. Simpson won in 1967 and 1968. Other Trojans winners: tailback Charles White in 1979, tailback Marcus Allen (1981), quarterback Matt Leinart (2004) and tailback Reggie Bush (2005).
Kessler, a fifth-year senior, is preparing for his third season as the Trojans’ starter. Last season, he passed for 39 touchdowns, with five interceptions.
Cravens, a junior, recorded a team-best 17 tackles for losses, including five sacks. He also intercepted three passes.
USC opens the season Sept. 5 against Arkansas State.
