USC football and men’s basketball APR scores improve

USC’s football and men’s basketball teams improved their Academic Progress Rate scores in 2013-14, but they remain below the national average, according to scores released Wednesday by the NCAA.
USC’s multiyear football score was 948, an improvement of seven points. The national average for football is 956.
The Trojans’ multiyear score ranked 10th in the Pac-12 Conference, ahead of Oregon State (946) and California (941). Stanford was atop the conference at 987.
USC’s men’s basketball multiyear score was 959, also a seven-point improvement. The national average is 961.
The baseball team’s multiyear score of 997 is the same as the year before and is two points above the national average.
The women’s basketball multiyear score of 978 was three points lower than the previous year but three points above the national average.
