USC spring football review: Cornerbacks

End-of-spring safety depth chart for the USC football team:

Starters: Senior Kevon Seymour and sophomore Adoree’ Jackson

Backups: Redshirt freshman Lamont Simmons and sophomore Jonathan Lockett

Reserves: Third-year sophomore Kevin Carrasco and redshirt freshman Jalen Jones

Incoming: Freshmen Iman Marshall and Isaiah Langley

Review: For the first time in several years, cornerback is a strength of the defense, but depth could be a concern.

Seymour, preparing for his third season as a starter, was among the most improved. He was more aggressive and broke up several passes in each practice.

Jackson split time between receiver and cornerback, but the defense was noticeably better with him on it.

Simmons and Lockett made occasional plays but lacked consistency.

Marshall and Langley will join the team in training camp.
