Hayes Pullard held back emotions on USC Senior Day

USC linebacker Hayes Pullard held back tears when he ran out of the Coliseum tunnel on Senior Day last Saturday.
“Emotions were there,” Pullard said. “But I swallowed it and kept moving.”
Pullard led the team onto the field before games the last two seasons. After he was recognized individually before kickoff against Notre Dame, he looked back at the tunnel.
Pullard and Coach Steve Sarkisian had wondered who would lead the Trojans onto the field.
“Me and Sark wanted to see who would step up,” Pullard said.
Tailback Javorius Allen did.
“I gave him a little hint that if you do that, you have to come back next year,” Pullard said, smiling.
Allen, a fourth-year junior, could make himself available for the 2015 NFL draft, but Allen said he has not made a decision about the NFL.
