USC, two days from learning its bowl destination, returned to practice Friday for the first of three weekend workouts.
It was the Trojans’ first practice since last Saturday’s 49-14 victory over Notre Dame.
“These guys came out flying around, ready to go,” Coach Steve Sarkisian said.
Reserve quarterbacks Max Browne and Jalen Greene shared reps with starter Cody Kessler.
Browne, a redshirt freshman, has served as Kessler’s backup this season.
“These practices are vital for him to get back to kind of game speed,” Sarkisian said. “He doesn’t get a lot of that in the season.”
