Cincinnati Bengals safety Taylor Mays chose a great time to record his first NFL sack.
With a “Monday Night Football” audience watching, the former USC star sacked Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning on third down with less than seven minutes left.
The Bengals defeated the Broncos, 37-28, to earn a playoff spot.
Mays, a fifth-year pro, had two tackles.
Former USC linebacker Rey Maualuga had 10.
The Bengals play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night for the AFC North title.
