Tim Drevno is set to return to Stanford

The last time USC won at Stanford, Trojans offensive line coach Tim Drevno was coaching for the Farm.
Drevno, a Stanford assistant from 2007 to 2010, said he remembers the 2008 game well.
USC won, 45-23, scoring 35 unanswered points in the second half.
When USC travels to Palo Alto to open Pac-12 play on Saturday, Drevno will try to repeat history -- but with a new allegiance.
“It’s a great place, great area, great community,” he said of Stanford, “but to me, I’m a Trojan. It doesn’t matter.”
Drevno served as the San Francisco 49ers’ offensive line coach from 2011 to 2013 before coming to the Trojans before this season.
Drevno played three freshmen -- including two starters -- in USC’s 52-13 season-opening victory over Fresno State. USC did not allow a sack against Fresno State.
Playing on the road against the two-time Pac-12 champions will be tougher.
Drevno anticipates another strong overall performance by young players.
“I don’t think anything will change,” Drevno said.
The Cardinal shut out UC Davis, 45-0, in its opener.
