Trojans in the NFL: Reggie Bush contributes in Lions’ victory

After spending three games sidelined in November because of an ankle injury, Reggie Bush is back to full steam for the Detroit Lions.
Bush rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown in seven carries and caught six passes for 44 yards in a 20-14 victory over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
Late in the first quarter, Bush turned a short pass from quarterback Matthew Stafford into a 21-yard gain.
On the next play, Bush scored on a 13-yard run to give the Lions a 7-0 lead.
Sanchez falls short
Mark Sanchez passed for a career-best 374 yards and two touchdowns, but he had a pass intercepted and lost a fumble in a 37-24 defeat by the Washington Redskins at FedEx Field.
Sanchez completed 37 of 50 passes.
The Eagles are 3-4 since Sanchez replaced injured Nick Foles as the starter.
Former USC tailback Silas Redd rushed for four yards in his only carry for the Redskins.
Lee makes strides in Jacksonville
Marqise Lee drew a cheer from Jacksonville Coach Gus Bradley after the Jaguars defeated the Tennessee Titans, 21-13, at EverBank Field on Thursday.
Lee caught four passes for 65 yards, including one for 34 yards.
Lee has 35 receptions for 414 yards and a touchdown.
Woods continues to contribute
Former USC receiver Robert Woods continues to have a breakout season for the Buffalo Bills.
Woods caught seven passes for 52 yards and a touchdown in a 26-24 defeat by the Oakland Raiders at the O.co Coliseum.
Woods has 61 receptions for 660 yards and four touchdowns.
Former USC cornerback Nickell Robey deflected a pass for the Bills.
Cameron leads Browns
Cleveland Browns tight end Jordan Cameron left the Carolina Panthers’ defense in the dust when he caught an 81-yard pass from Brian Hoyer for a touchdown.
Cameron caught three passes for a team-best 88 yards in a 17-13 defeat at Bank of America Stadium.
Cameron has 21 receptions for 383 yards and two touchdowns.
Matthews makes plays
Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews deflected a pass and made three tackles for losses, including 2 1/2 sacks, in a 20-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium.
McDonald leads Rams’ defense
St. Louis Rams safety T.J. McDonald made a team-best 11 tackles, including a sack, in a 37-27 defeat by the New York Giants at Edward Jones Dome.
