USC remains in the running for Los Angeles Salesian High defensive lineman Kevin Scott.
On Monday, Scott wrote on Twitter that he was considering USC, Miami, Mississippi, Purdue and San Diego State.
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Scott told The Times that defensive line coaches set the schools apart. “I have a great relationship with all of them,” he said.
USC offered Scott a scholarship last week, which is late for the 2015 recruiting cycle. He is scheduled to make an official visit Tuesday, he said. He has visited Miami and Purdue and will visit Mississippi.
Scott said he would announce a commitment on Feb. 4.
USC has 15 verbal commitments and can sign 19 players. The Trojans are still in the mix for cornerback Iman Marshall, defensive lineman Rasheem Green and linebackers Porter Gustin and John Houston.
