For orchid lovers: Search for rare blooms on a botanical excursion to Peru

Search for rare orchids in Peru, home to about 2,400 species, on a botanical adventure offered by INCA-International Nature & Culture Adventures. The eight-day tour, led by orchid expert Roger Valencia Espinoza, will focus on the canyons of Urubamba and Ollantaytambo, the Andean high jungle around the village of Santa Teresa, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. A guided tour of Cusco is also included.
Dates: Trips are scheduled April 2-9, 2016, and March 18-25, 2017. Dates coincide with peak blooming time at the end of the wet season.
Price: From $4,095 per person for four or more; $4,995 per person for two to three. Includes all accommodations, meals and nonalcoholic beverages, guides, activities, tours and entry fees. International and domestic airfares are not included.
