Thailand: $1,599 for L.A.-Bangkok flights + hotel on 14-day tour
- Share via
Travel the length of Thailand, from the country’s capital, Bangkok, to Chiang Rai in the north, on a 14-day tour for prices starting at $1,599 per person. Book by Wednesday for the lowest price.
The deal: The Incredible Thailand tour from Friendly Planet Travel includes Los Angeles-Bangkok round-trip airfare, hotels, some meals and more. At $1,599 per person, it prices out to less than $150 a day.
The trip includes stops in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Ayutthaya, Bangkok and other cities along the way to see rice fields and villages with monkeys and elephants.
Ground transportation, as well as a flight from Chiang Mai to Bangkok, is also included in the price, along with hotel transfers. Taxes and fees are extra. The price is based on double occupancy; add $499 for single-room supplement.
When: The cheapest tours leave Sept. 16 and next May 11, but you must book by Wednesday to get the $1,599 per person rate. After that, prices increase by $300.
Tested: I found availability for the tour leaving Sept. 16 and returning Sept. 29 for the base price of $1,599 plus tax. For all you get to see and do, this trip represents a good value. If you tried to price this trip out, airfare alone on the same dates would run about $1,000 round trip, according to fare comparisons on Kayak.com.
