Disney to bring Pixar films, characters aboard L.A. cruises

Mickey Mouse will be joined by Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Remy the rat aboard four Disney Cruise Line sailings this fall along the California coast. The Pixar-themed sailings celebrate the “Toy Story” films, “Up,””Ratatouille” and the upcoming “Brave” movie during the seven-day trips.
Disney Wonder passengers will have a chance to schmooze with Pixar artists and filmmakers who explain how they develop animated features and take in an onboard exhibition of storyboards and other art used in the studio’s films.
There will be a Pixar Film Fest with all the features being shown and the premiere of “Finding Nemo 3D” as well as meet-and-greets with Pixar characters too. The seven-night cruises from L.A. stop at San Francisco, San Diego and Ensenada, Mexico.
Date: Departures from L.A. on Sept. 16, 23 and 30 and Oct. 7.
Price: Starting at $799 per person, based on double occupancy. it includes sailings, ports of call, meals and Pixar-themed extras. Passengers also receive a”Brave” lithograph by Pixar artist Steve Purcell. Transportation to and from L.A. is extra.
