Reporting from Las Vegas — Tao Nightclub at the Venetian served as the headquarters for all things NBA-related in Las Vegas over the weekend. The NBA’s Summer League games close out on Monday, July 20, and basketball stars spent one last Saturday night partying in Las Vegas.
LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers took his party to a private VIP table at the nightclub.
L.A. Clippers assistant coach Mike Woodson and NBA Hall of Famer Julius “Dr. J” Erving also partied at the club.
Platinum-selling recording artist J. Cole dropped by Tao after his concert Saturday night, and Sharod “Roddy” White of the Atlanta Falcons was seen partying with friends.
The club hosted the official TopSpin after-party with sounds by DJ Khaled. The event included a charity ping-pong tournament earlier in the weekend hosted by comedian Chris Spencer. Actress Ambyr Childers celebrated her 27th birthday there too.
DJ Khaled, the artist behind the hit “We the Best,” performed a medley of his songs including “All I Do Is Win” and “How Many Times,” before taking over the DJ booth. Khaled was joined by a large group of friends including Ndamukong Suh of the Miami Dolphins as he spun a mashup of Top 40 and hip-hop songs.
Earlier in the night, Chris Paul of the LA Clippers hosted a private dinner with friends and family at Tao, and Khaled stopped by his table to take a picture.
