Reporting from Las Vegas — Terry Fator now has a new sidekick through which he channels his vocal impressions. The singing ventriloquist who won his way onto the Las Vegas Strip on season two of “America’s Got Talent” introduced Rusty the Robot to his eponymous show at the Mirage on Monday night.
The premise behind this character is that he’s a “new prototype robot designed to do the jobs of all employees.” The razor-sharp Rusty sings tunes while impersonating the Tin Man from “The Wizard of Oz,” Elvis Presley, Bruno Mars and Garth Brooks.
Fator’s other characters include Winston the Impersonating Turtle, Vikki “The Cougar,” country legend Walter T. Airdale, Duggie Scott Walker, Julius, Emma Taylor, the world’s greatest Elvis impersonator Maynard Tompkins and Wrex the Crash Test Dummy.
Songs in Fator’s show cover Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Tony Bennett, LMFAO, Toby Keith and Roy Orbison, among others.
Tickets for “Terry Fator: The Voice of Entertainment” start at $59.99.
Tickets: Terry Fator Theatre box office, (702) 792-7777
