A Japanese firm acquired a Hyatt Regency hotel.

Kokusai Motorcars Co., part of the KM Group of Tokyo, completed the purchase of the Hyatt Regency Maui in Hawaii for $319 million in cash. The seller was an investment partnership affiliated with VMS Realty Inc., of Chicago. The Hyatt Regency Maui, on an 18.4-acre site in the Kaanapali Beach Resort Development, will continue to be managed by Hyatt Corp.
