Britain Tests Soviet Missiles, Jane’s Says

LONDON — Britain has fired Soviet SAM-6 missiles in covert trials that have shown the anti-aircraft weapons to be highly reliable and accurate, Jane’s Defense Weekly said Wednesday.
The magazine said it is not clear where Britain had acquired the missiles, which downed a large number of Israel’s aircraft in the 1973 war with its Arab neighbors.
