Proposal Would Order Restrooms at Stations
- Share via
A proposal requiring all service stations in the county’s unincorporated areas to provide public restrooms has been introduced by Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich in response to a complaint by a diabetic.
Antonovich said his motion, to be considered by the Board of Supervisors next week, would result in a public service for motorists, especially those with medical problems or children. He said many gas stations now either provide restrooms only for employees or lock the ones set aside for public use.
Supervisor Pete Schabarum expressed reservations about forcing private industry to incur additional expenses.
