Microsemi Corp. Lists 11% Increase in Profits

Microsemi Corp., a Santa Ana semiconductor maker, reported second-quarter profits of $1.4 million, up 11% from the $1.2 million posted a year earlier. Sales for the period ended March 21 were $10.7 million, up 17% from the $9.2 million recorded last year.

Net income for the first six months was $2.6 million, up 4% from the $2.5 million posted last year--a total that included a $213,000 non-recurring gain. Revenues for the first half were $20.6 million, up 13% from the $18.2 million recorded the year before.
