Japan Paper Plans U.S. Edition

NEW YORK — Nihon Keizai Shimbun Inc., Japan’s leading economic daily newspaper, will begin publishing a U.S. edition via satellite transmission from Tokyo on May 1, officials said today. The edition will be printed at Dow Jones & Co. plants in South Brunswick, N.J., and Riverside, Calif., the company said.
The paper, with editorial offices in New York and several other U.S. cities, has a worldwide circulation of about 2.5 million.
