Pitcher Dwight Gooden of the New York Mets, who entered a drug rehabilitation center three weeks ago, will leave the facility next Thursday, the New York Times reported in today’s editions.
The newspaper quoted an unnamed source at the Smithers Center for Alcoholism and Drug Treatment as saying the 22-year-old right-hander is “doing just fine and he will be out on April 30.”
