Santa Ana Valley’s Peters Has Best Time in County in Hurdles

Paul Peters of Santa Ana Valley High School posted the best time among Orange County boys this season in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles Thursday, running 39.8 seconds in a dual-meet loss to Canyon at Anaheim.
Peters won three events and was a member of the Falcons’ winning 1,600-meter relay team. Canyon won, 71-52. Sophomore Allison Franke won the discus, 100-meter low hurdles and the triple jump to lead the Comanches’ girls’ team to an 83-44 victory.
