San Pedro : Cookbook in New Printing

The Friends of San Pedro Library have sold all 2,400 copies of the cookbook “Around the World, Around Our Town: Recipes From San Pedro,” but library officials say a second run of the book will be available late this month.
The book, which sells for $16, features 500 recipes from 24 different ethnic groups, and includes illustrations by Leo Politi, an illustrator of children’s books.
Money from the cookbook sale will support programs at the San Pedro library, one of 62 branches of the Los Angeles Public Library. Copies can be obtained from the Friends of San Pedro Library, 931 Gaffey St., San Pedro, Calif. 90731. There is a $2 charge for postage and handling.
