Dominguez Hills Clinches CCAA Title

Fred Hanker and Joe Pardo each had three hits, and Jon Beuder hit a bases-loaded triple in the fourth inning as Cal State Dominguez Hills clinched its second consecutive California Collegiate Athletic Assn. baseball title with a 7-4 victory over Chapman at Dominguez Hills.
Mike Aspray (10-3) went seven innings for the victory. Chris Haslock picked up his 10th save for the Toros (21-6, 37-12), who tied a school record for victories in a season.
Darren Nelson, Jim Areias and Mike Grahovac had two hits each for the Panthers (25-29, 13-16). Nelson, who is hitting .386, also had his 76th RBI.
