West Los Angeles : Statue for Wallenberg Square

Raoul Wallenberg Square at Beverly Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue has been selected as the site of a new 18-foot sculpture of Wallenberg, a Swedish hero of the Holocaust.
The sculpture will be created by Italy’s Franco Assetto. Assetto is donating his services, but the Jewish Community Foundation/Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Fund needs $150,000 for materials. People interested in making a donation can call Jane Fantel at (818) 346-7607.
