M/A-Com Inc.’s San Diego-based operation has been awarded a $5.2-million contract to produce a UHF satellite terminal system for the Air Force. The contract has a potential value of $46 million if all production options are exercised.
The Air Force’s Military Airlift Command will use the communications system to help deploy troops and supplies around the world.
“There will be no substantial expansion of our work force, even though the bulk of the work will be done in San Diego,” according to a M/A-Com spokeswoman.
