Oak Industries Inc., San Diego, struggling to recover from years of red ink, posted first-quarter net income of $248,000, but that included $2.1 million in extraordinary gains from tax credits, asset sales and accounting changes. A year ago, the company lost $10.2 million. Oak, a maker of electronic components and controls, has been having financial problems since 1982.
