The public is invited to visit local fire stations Saturday as part of an open house observance of Fire Service Recognition Day. Stations will be open for visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Los Angeles City firefighters will demonstrate helicopter water drops, rappelling and the use of “jaws of life” devices at fire stations in Sherman Oaks, Pacific Palisades, San Pedro, East Los Angeles and downtown Los Angeles. County fire equipment will be displayed at Frank G. Bonelli Regional County Park in San Dimas.
