Garden Grove : Arson Suspected in Restaurant Blaze
- Share via
Investigators suspect arson in a fire that caused damage estimated at $20,000 to a Garden Grove seafood restaurant that opened last week.
Fire Department Battalion Chief Marvin Schilling said flames swept through the kitchen of the Phu Lam Chinese Seafood Restaurant in the 14200 block of Brookhurst Street at 1:15 a.m. Monday.
The restaurant was closed and there were no injuries, he said, adding that automatic sprinklers kept the blaze from spreading.
Arson is suspected because investigators found a three-inch hole in the building’s roof, Schilling said.
