Ducks Unlimited has budgeted, starting this year, for a regional habitat office in Sacramento. In addition, we have pledged to raise an additional $300 million in the next 15 years to implement the North American Waterfowl Management Plan adopted by both the U.S. and Canadian governments.
That plan calls for the acquisition of 80,000 acres of wintering pintail habitat in California’s Sacramento-San Joaquin Valley, as well as acreage elsewhere.
