Shuwa Buys Irvine Center

Shuwa Investments Corp. of Los Angeles has purchased the two-story, 63,514-square-foot Irvine Commercial Center from National Capitol Corp. of San Francisco for more than $10 million.
“Compared to many of Shuwa’s recent purchases--like the Arco Towers in downtown Los Angeles where it paid in excess of $600 million--this transaction was relatively small,” according to Bryon Ward of the Newport Beach office of Grubb & Ellis Commercial Brokerage Services, which represented both parties.
Shuwa is owned by a major Japanese investment concern.
The building at 17771-17781 Cowan Ave., Irvine, is occupied by Circle K of Arizona and Rolm Corp.
