Jerve M. Jones of Peck/Jones Construction and Toshikazu Terasawa of architects O’Leary Terasawa Takahashi De Chellis & Chaffin have received lifetime achievement awards from the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce.
Jones, president and chief executive officer of the company formed by the recent merger of Jones Brothers Construction and C.L. Peck Contractor, began working in the Los Angeles construction industry in 1935. His firm is one of the largest builders in Los Angeles.
Terasawa, as the only architect member of the Board of Building and Safety Commissioners, played a key role in formulating the city’s updated seismic-safety standards. He also helped shape the growth of Little Tokyo as a member of the Little Tokyo Community Development Advisory Committee.
